10 ways to deal with Anger

In a today's busy world, we are running after materialistic possessions thinking that they will give us peace and happiness. People nowadays are so engrossed in technology that they have cut themselves from the real world and have forgotten to enjoy little things like spending time with their family and friends. Over a period of time, when they are left alone, it leads to anger and frustration and they sometimes commit big mistakes or even crime in rage of anger.

So, here are few points that you can practice to manage your anger in a better way:

1 Pause: Whenever you get angry, take a pause and think , Is it worth disturbing your peace of mind? I am sure the answer would be "No" most of the times. So, think before you speak out of anger.. It will save you from future regrets.

2. Let it Go. Have you heard the famous song "Let it Go" from Kids' movie Frozen? If no, then please listen to it and make it Mantra of your life .. yes Let go of the grudges and resentment. Holding on to past, will only hurt you more.

3.Root Cause of Anger: Sometimes, we realize that we were not actually angry on a single thing, but it's the build up anger inside us and trigger may be a small incident that caused the outburst. So, identify the root cause and try to work on it.

4. Be Calm and Composed while you express yourself to others, let them know in a respectable manner if some habit of theirs disturbs you.

5. Meditation: It could be anything, A Mantra or a some music , start your day with something you like and then plan the next events accordingly. A good start will lead to a peaceful day..

6. Alternatives: Figure out some healthy and constructive way to release your anger, like go for a walk or workout in gym when you are very angry and don't want to hurt others with your words. After some time you can express yourself in a better manner.

7.Drink Water: Drinking water or reverse counting also help to cool down your head and give room to your thoughts.

8. Positive self talk: Think about some good moments you spent with your family or friends and do some positive self talk to re-frame your negative thoughts.

9 Tolerate: In some situations, we should train our mind to be tolerant and give some space to our thoughts. That will help you think clearly.

10 Forgive  Last is Forgive quickly. It's not for others but for your own mental well being.

Hope these points will help you in managing your anger next time.

Please feel free to post your point of view or suggestions.

Does Killing animals affect my Karma - Part 2

Hello everyone, hope you are doing good..   so, here I am with the answers to your doubts. Well I asked my group admin that why should we not have non veg diet or does it adds to our bad karma?

The answers are:

ISKCON or Bhgwan Krishna is not saying that you should not have non veg but God has made so many plants, vegetables or fruits for us then why we eat other animals? They also have right to live, they also feel the pain..

For God we all are his children, and if one child eats the other then will a father be able to forgive him? Think about it.

In some rare cases like if you are living in a very cold place; where it’s tough to grow vegetables or in war areas, where there are limited resources available, then for your survival, you can have non vegetarian diet.

So, it’s completely your choice,

I hope I am able to clear your doubts.

Please feel free to post your queries or comments..

How Killing Animals affect My Karma?

So, past few years have been a roller coaster ride and if I take out the best parts or blessings out of them then, they would be

  • ·         My daughter,
  • ·         Reunion with my Bestie
  • ·         Start of my spiritual journey

I am so thankful to god that he blessed me with so many good friends and a supportive family who have always been there for me.

I learnt that in tough times you have two choices either get trapped in it and give in to bad habits or cheap pleasures. But if u really wants a permanent solution then, spirituality is the answer.

Spirituality makes you understand the reasons behind many things or events taking place around you. And the best part is when you have people with whom you can discuss this. They add to your knowledge. For instance as a daily routine I attended Bhakti Varsha Class from ISKCON, and there was a topic on why we should not kill animals for meat or eating purposes, or why we turn into vegetarian ? But when my friend asked it what’s the logic behind it and how it will affect my karma if am not killing the animal but just eating it. It gave me a food for thought that yes if somebody else is killing the animal and am just eating it then he would be responsible or being the customer of such people am I promoting their business and thus indirectly am I responsible for killing of animals?

Well to answer this I need to study more or ask my mentor to give the appropriate answer. Till then all my readers are welcome to share their views on this

Life Skills to keep yourself Sane..

So, I have been thinking of writing since very long but dont know what kept me away. Tough times teach you a lot... and somewhere we should be thankful to all the people who had been against us or with us thru all this as they helped us to re explore our inner capabilities... Anyways Yesterday I was listening to a motivational speaker who give lectures on how we can improve our life skills. or can stay motivated.. Although I have been practicing many of these things but lost track of them in last few years.. but now as am back in form .. here are the points:

  1. Read.. Reading is a good habit we all know. If you already love reading , nothing like it .. but if you don't, please develop it as it will help you in many ways, when you are reading you live a character or the writers experiences and can learn many useful things.. as they say that to learn in life you need not to experience everything yourself .. you can learn some best lessons from other people's experiences..hence start reading ..

 2. Write.. Sometimes it happens that we start talking to ourselves soo much that our mind gets clogged ..so in that case write you thoughts on a piece of paper or online so that you can reorganize them and can find our solutions ourselves..

 3. Meditate.. There are many ways to do meditation.. but the best thing that works for me is chanting "Hare Krishna" or do reverse counting that my best friend had told me...

 4. Be Thankful... Being thankful to the universe for whatever small or big joys life brings to you helps you to create more happiness in your life.. we must not focus on the things we could not get as it creates more frustrations and a bitter behavior.. rather we must be thankful to little things or the problems which he didn't gave us...

 5. Connect.. Last and very important point is: stay connected to the people who love you.. they can be your friends, parents or neighbors .. who keep you happy or think about your happiness and growth in life..

Hope these 5 points can help you sail through this beautiful journey called life.. and I could help you in some ways..

Life Mein Twist :)

Life is so uncertain, and this I have learnt in past 2-3 years. One moment you think this world is full of happiness, full of love, full of laughter, but the next moment it just vanishes in a second. After completing my post grad, I got the job, I got money, but the real me lost somewhere in the race of meeting targets, sticking on to people who never beloged to me, and and then moving on with a hard hearted, more confident, always smiling, no tension carrying Ann. The real Ann lost somewhere. The innocent Ann died inside. Life is not that bad yet, but it's not that good too. Stress has increased. Stress to search better job, stress to survive with responsibilities and stress to make everyone happy while I myself is not happy.

Sometimes I think, Human nature is complex. We don't get satisfied by anything. When we were in college, we were desparate to get a job, to get married to have fun. But, now when we have the job, the money, I don't have any expectations, any enthusiasm left.

Survival Guide for Youngsters

There comes a point in almost everyone's life when we lose hope from every direction of our life. Some of us get so disturbed by certain life events and go into a depression state as we don't have many people around us with whom we can share our pain, few of us even start thinking about ending our life.

Now, the question arises, in such testing times, how we can keep ourselves positive or think in the right direction so that we don't end up feeling lonely, depressed, or fall into the trap of bad habits.

1. Count on your saviors: For me, my saviors are my friends or my sister. There have been times when I felt so low that life seemed meaningless to me. In such tough times, my sister and a few close friends helped me come out of it.

But, friends be aware also, sometimes we make unknown online friends whom we think are the safest person to share our thoughts with but sometimes when you don't know who is the real person on the other side, he or she might spoil ur things (happened with me).

So, be careful, always be cautious with whom you are sharing your problems.

So, just look around and think of 5 most important and close people in the real-world (not in the virtual world) with whom you can share your pain. In fact, even if there is a single person who is ready to listen to you, life is worth living.

2. Keep your Mind Engaged:
